2011年the Airplane Boy带着自己的首张mixtape《where've you been》闯进大家的视野，并且倍受好评。在和Snoop Dogg, J. Cole一起游览世界之余，也和Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, 和 Mac Miller一起进行表演。2012年他们决定重新回到studio创作，续而推出了他们全新的mixtape《Alignment》。相比第一张mixtape，《Alignment》绝对是更有凝聚力的声音。

We brought The Airplane Boys to Shanghai last November, but their afterbuzz never faded in the city. This month, we’re bringing them back for another round.
The Toronto scene has been banging out lots of hiphop-electro with mixed in pop sounds these days (i.e. The Weeknd, Drake…) and The Airplane Boys is definitely a good one that hasn’t caught national fire just yet. Their performance at Lune last November brought a new style of rhythm and flow to the stage: a dark undertone masked by synthy hip-hop, their stage presence can only be captured as “ArtHaus Rap."
From a selling point, they’re playing with the big dogs. They’ve shared the stage with artists such as Snoop Dogg and J.Cole, and they’ve been wearing leather pants way before All Star Weekend. They’re even receiving letter inquiries from Kanye West himself.
So come dressed in your best attire to indulge with this group. Having been featured on sites such as the RollingStone, Hypebeast, HighSnobiety, and Complex, The Airplane Boys represent Toronto’s new generation of creativity and individuality.
