今宵七夕夜，遥望银河情。
七夕节又名乞巧节、七巧节或七姐诞，
发源于中国，是华人地区
以及东亚各国的传统节日，
在农历七月初七庆祝，
来自于牛郎与织女的传说。
因为此日活动的主要参与者是少女，
而节日活动的内容又是以乞巧为主，
故而人们称这天为“乞巧节”
或“少女节”、“女儿节”。
七夕节如今已成为传统的中国情人节日，
而且已被中国国务院列入
第一批国家非物质文化遗产名录。

Chinese Valentine's Day which is also called
Double Seventh Festival is on the
7th day of the 7th lunar month.
This festival is in mid-summer
when the weather is warm and the grass and trees
reveal their luxurious greens.
At night when the sky is dotted with stars,
and people can see the Milky Way spanning
from the north to the south.
On each bank of it there is a bright star,
which see each other from afar.
They are the Cowherd and Weaver Maid,
and ab0ut them there is a beautiful love story
passed down from generation to generation.
