跨领域排行经典大作混音的荷兰好手Richard Durand于2007年权威电音杂志DJ MAG的TOP 100选举中首次进榜并排名91，在2012进榜并排名89,这个来自荷兰的电音魔童迅即成为全球各大电音媒体的焦点人物之一。Richard Durand出道不久即获曾3度称霸TOP 100的Tiesto赏识，为他的经典单曲"Lethal Industry"及“Flight 643”重新混音，获得了各大超级DJ的一致认同，并与Armin van Buuren、Above & Beyond等大师同台角逐IDMA最佳混音选辑大奖。　　

迅猛的发展奠定了他成为电子音乐圈最引人注目新星的姿态。2007年末Tiesto在接受DJ MAG杂志访问的时候更钦点他为“2008年最有潜力新人”，同时将自己新专辑内的主打作品"Break My Fall"交由Richard Durand操刀混音。这首气势磅礴的作品一经推出，马上大获好评。
